The movie's success is in how it makes every male character (and a few female characters) feel like a threat. (at the beginning, they had to be hinting that the son was responsible, right? emphasizing that the doors were locked so no one could get out.)

Unfortunate that it's hooked onto a real life paranormal investigation. Amazing that this is by the director who did Superman IV: Superman Destroys All Nukes.
