This has the timelessness of a beach holiday caravan park nostalgia that feels universally familiar. Use of VHS footage, slightly non-linear timeline, the film revisits shots blending sleep deprived slow cinema with surrealist aspects and a mystery that reads like a fairytale. It's slow, has it's charms, and feels like you're looking at film from the perspective of the 3 girls.
A really cute and creative film, slightly philosophical and quirky. Touches too on some serious topics surrounding Korean society like cram school/tutoring and mental health. You can defs see through the use of live action animation the director's background having studied at the media production at the 'Korean Animation High School' based on a quick search. The childlike imagination shines through in the script.
