Fargo, aka guys making so many bad decisions, so so many. With the most fabulous police chief in cinema close on their heels. Gosh damn I love this film. This is the film I put on in the background and then the end comes and I realize I haven't been doing whatever I set out to do, but am glued to the screen. Every time!
What a perfect follow up to Bring Her Back. Such a perfect gothic story with more than a little hint of sadness mixed into the horror. This was a favorite film in my teen "3:30 movie" obsessed years, but it's been decades since I've watched it, and I'm happy to say it holds up. And as an adult, I of course more strongly recognize the tragedy of Auntie Roo, her fate sealed by her overwhelming grief and loneliness. But I'm still impressed with Christopher and Katy's pluck and cleverness enabling them to stay one step ahead of mad Auntie.
