I love when a movie surprises you, and this one sure surprised me! what I thought was just going to be an average coming-of-age romance that I watched solely for Kat Dennings, was actually much more of a thriller/drama, and told the complex story of small town plagued by murder and drugs amongst general teen angst. The movie kept me on my toes the whole time, trying to weave together the different fragments given to me, and was also aesthetically and musically beautiful.
