“says the woman who literally looks like a Q-tip”
Dunno what in the hell happened but to pump out out such an abysmally acted sequel, what a pile of shite. Like were people just plucked off the streets and told to "act" in the sequel to Hell House LLC because I've seen better acting in low budget 80s horror films and that is saying something!
It's just managed to scrape getting one star rating, too much time exploring a backstory that just gets yawnsome. With about 20 minutes left…
i really hate the way she holds cigarettes.
Nunsense.
I appear to be in a demonic possession film phase at the moment given the last few rewatches. For some reason or other I picked to rewatch The Nun, a prequel to The Conjuring films.
Hope your ready for rant, this film just pisses me off so much. There's have a truly gorgeous gothic setting, a solid protagonist and honestly the creepiest villain horror has spawned in decades, Valek otherwise known as The Nun. Ever since Valeks debut in…
“no way. you’re kidding me? you’re telling me you could’ve been a camaro this whole time? oh my god.”
the extra half star is specifically for captain america’s beard.
At times, it feels like a nod to Argento and his Three Mothers trilogy. If you're cool with—or even into—style completely overshadowing substance, you're in for a visual trip: a hypnotic feast for the senses that dives into the weird charm of second-hand fashion and the almost mystical vibe of department stores.
If you want, you can see this as a grotesque satire. If you want, you can also read it as a critique of fashion obsession, sales tactics, consumerism,…
“Death is an extraordinary experience.”
My first Gaspar Noé film… bloody hell. I knew what to expect, don’t get me wrong, but I forgot to prepare myself.
The film has an excellent opening. Immediately unsettling and haunting. The cinematography, use of sound and creepy reworking of Satie’s Gymnopédie No. 1 all combine to create this memorable introduction. Gaspar Noé doesn’t let this tone drop for one second, instead ramping it up for one of the most intense and morbid films…
“The Bulgarian’s egg? Wasn’t that the third Harry Potter book?”
Some comedies get a little stale the more you watch them but Game Night just gets better and better! No weak links in the cast and just about every scene is funny!
I thought the first one was actually pretty good but this one was a large step down from that entry in about every way possible! I still likely will but I’m now questioning if I even want to finish out the trilogy

better than i expected it to be, honestly. Madeline Brewer was very good working double duty as both Alice and Lola plus this was more interesting aesthetically than i expected it be. set design was really nice in places too.
was surprisingly low stakes in the grander scheme of shit compared to most horror films along these lines but i think it made for a nice change of pace?
