The only good parts of this where when the dude who looked like every early 2010s post-hardcore dude got sawed in half and when the person at the carnival dressed like they were in Saw got scared by Leatherface’s chainsaw. I know as horror fans we tend to be forgiving of bad movies if they’re fun but, to put it bluntly, this was dogshit and I simply can’t do it this time.

Love the notion that there is a secret magician group (realm?) and that payoff for ing is riding a magical carousel.

“Today, we are canceling the apocalypse!”

Turned my brain off and watched a couple of kaiju right a bunch of giant robots. What a perfect way to spend a Saturday night. I was so locked in! I thought the kaiju designs were stellar. Cool colors and even cooler powers. Some cliched performances from the cast but it’s fun as hell so who really cares? Not me, I’ll tell ya that.

“I ordered the sides, so…”
“Sides? Sides? $26,000 worth of sides? What are these sides? They cure cancer?”

Just as good as I ed. It starts out hot and never slows down. Top tier performances from everyone in it. Marty came to play and hit it out of the park.
