Frankenstein meets Pinocchio blended in Yorgos Lanthinos’s madness. I loved every moment

I saw this last year. In IMAX. In its 1540 format.
I waited three months for this as it was sold out. I saw it in a Melbourne IMAX cinema and I heard people were flying into the country to see it. So it was safe to say, I was pretty excited.

I watched this 3 rows from the front in imax with subtitles which made it feel like a tennis match at times trying to read across the screen.
Aside from that, Miyazaki never fails to stun audiences with his bottomless creativity and emotional punches. The ending gets pretty wild and I think with the oversized subtitles I missed some meaning, but all the same it left me reflecting my own life and childhood which again is just what Miyazaki does.
Will see again for the two Batman’s leaving their English dubbing (Bale and Pattinson).
