Showdown: Multiplicity

With Mickey 17 orbiting in theaters (and Ryan Coogler’s Sinners landing in April), twinning seems to be winning. The phenomenon of the same actor in multiple roles—be they siblings, clones, doppelgängers, dead ringers, etc.—isn’t new (hello to Drs. Strangelove and Evil!) but there’s been an undeniable influx as of late. So, for this Showdown, we ask for a simple favor: shout out your top ten favorite instances of one performer playing different characters in the same film. If you’re having trouble seeing double, check out these lists by Siegel, Cat and Daniel.

There are no films in this list released in the 1890s.
