Bring Her Back

2025

★★ 2

I really enjoyed "Talk to Me", so I'm bummed that this didn't work for me.

It's incredibly obvious where everything is going based on the setup and the title (seriously, why would they call it that?!?), with hardly any reveals or surprises along the way. I wouldn't have cared about the predictability if the film had been entertaining or scary, but it's neither. Instead, it indulges in so many 'Prestige Horror' clichés that it verges on parody.

2002

★★★½ Rewatched

Looks like absolute garbage by design, but it's such a hindrance to enjoying the movie. There's a moment early on where Cillian Murphy's character discovers a room filled with dead bodies, and I couldn't even tell what I was supposed to be looking at.

★★★★½ Watched

I've been wanting to watch this film ever since it first came out, but I never got around to it for some reason. Now after 8 years of anticipation, I'm happy to report that the film completely delivers.

I thought that Luke Wilson and Kate Beckinsale were great together and both…

Scream 4

2011

★★★★½ 2

Most directors would be lucky to have their final film be as thrilling, funny and as genuinely entertaining as Scream 4.

A horror reboot that continually ridicules horror reboots, it's the perfect place to take the fourth entry in this self-aware horror franchise.

The only thing keeping this from a 5 are a few lame jokes and a weak final scene. Other than that, this remains a personal favorite of mine in the slasher genre.

Also worth noting: I saw…
