“The horror. The horror.”

I finally bit the bullet and bought the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray so I could watch it. First of all, it looks and sounds absolutely beautiful. I still think this is easily Coppola’s best film. It clears the Godfather trilogy. Brando’s performance is spectacular. The build up to him is masterful and the payoff is exactly that too. He might’ve been the laziest actor in the world, but the man was a star for a reason.…

“It’s not the journey, it’s the destination.”

A closing line that can definitely be interpreted in many ways with this film. In one sense, it could be about how Israel came to be, which is the angle I’m going with, but it could also reflect László’s work, how, through hardship and traumatic times, it’s the art and final product that lasts so other’s can understand. This really was just a phenomenal film. I can completely see why Adrien Brody won…

Alright Nicole, I adore you, but maybe let’s work with a male writer/director on the next movie after this utter tripe. My girlfriend fucking hated this lmfao.

I've seen this film in the 4K Bluray section but never considered taking the risk of buying it like I do with some films I'd like to watch. Today I saw it was available to rent on Apple TV for 99 cents. So I said why not? If I enjoy it, I'll buy it on 4K. If I don't, it cost me a buck. It's fine. Nothing groundbreaking IMO. I enjoyed the jokes and I enjoyed a young Michael Caine…

“You're tearing me apart!”

Girlfriend saw the exterior of the high school and immediately put together that it was the same one as in ‘Grease’ (1978) which I think is cool as hell. Still the only James Dean film that I’ve seen (and now own) but I do plan on venturing out more. God is this movie dressed with tragedy, though. James died a month before this came out in a car accident at 24, Mineo was stabbed in the heart in a robbery when 37 and Natalie Woods “drowned” while on a boat with Christopher Walken and her husband Robert Wagner.

“I just think my mom could do better!”
“First of all. Nobody’s better than me.                    I’m the greatest.”

Get Sandler away from doing movies on Netflix with Jennifer Aniston (she could be in much better stuff. I’m waiting for her renaissance) and get him back with Barrymore. Those two together are pure comedy
(and $$$.) This grossed $128 million worldwide in 2014. Sandler and Barrymore still have that it factor. One more movie! 🗣️‼️
