First time rewatching since it came out. I love so much about this movie. 

Revisiting this, the ending feels abrasive, throws off the rhythm of the film for me, especially cutting from such a powerful and sad scene.

Just learned that the drawings for each frame of this film are approximately index-card-sized on cels. Anyways this film rules so hard! I love u Ingo Raschka

One of the greatest films of all time. I’m always picking up on new things to appreciate and be blown away by with every rewatch. Rarely, does a film show you everything you want to see as 2012 does for me, personally. The filmmaking and language that this short speaks makes it so apparent that Ingo Raschka is a once in a lifetime genius in animation. No other contemporary animated short or feature I’ve seen has even come close.
