A serviceable documentary that has many background interviews and clips. It kind of runs out of steam after the implosion and struggles for an ending, but that's fine. It's interesting to see just how arrogant the ceo was. His engineers tell him that the carbon fiber hull has already cracked and will likely delam. But he fires those engineers for not being adventurous and then gets imploded. There's probably a metaphor here for our current world.
This is the youngest I’ve ever seen Gene Hackman in a film, so that’s cool. This movie is just fantastic whenever someone is being followed or chased. But it can drag when just talking police or crime stuff. Luckily most of the film is shadowing or chasing. The car/train chase is of course iconic with real driving and crashes. Great stuff. But I also love all the police hiding and tailing suspects.
I do think the film should have ended…
This is a fun comedy, heist with all the fantasy dressings of dungeon and dragons. Cast is great with Chris Pine and Michelle Rodriguez working wonderfully together. The plot/quest is simple enough but serves well as a path for a team to come tougher. Plus evil Hugh grant is great.
This continues my theory of “we are going to need a team” always leading to fantastic films.
