Did not anticipate the only thing to match Nicholas Cage's freak in the history of cinema to be a couple of local dudes from Perth but it makes total sense.

Look, I'm well aware I'm a Joe Carnahan enthusiast and some of his previous films mean a lot to me (Narc, Smokin' Aces & The Grey) ....But this was really fucking good?

Puts all of its stock in character over spectacle and zeroes in on the chemistry between its leads plus it has Da'Vine Joy Randolph and Redman as its main ing characters playing a lunatic married couple.

Oh and Kerry Washington should've been the lead in at least 15 films by now.

Look, I'd be verrrry surprised if any other short film I see this year comes even close to beating this as one of the best films of the year. Fucking superb.

Loved this one. Has a really strong emotional core that grounds the entire film along with a number of great filmmaking choices.

Not entirely sold on the whole film being told from the perspective of a world travelling presence.

Very surreal hearing all this talk about how a film could cost $320 million this week then ending said week by watching this, a film that, compared to today's standards, looks like it cost around a billion dollars.

Final sound mix and colour grade watch before its festival premiere next month (It looks and sounds like a real movie now!)

It is fucking embarrassing that this isn't the front runner for Best Picture.

The final shot in this is so perfect and so breathtaking that it's even more of a fuck you that they dumped this on Amazon Prime here in Australia without any cinema release.

That moment is robbed with ads for Reacher and Rings of Power popping up half a second later and before a single credit is on screen.

Had to rewatch for the 780th time to make notes for some minor tweaks in post (A scene where an in cinema audience member asks the lead actors multiple questions unrelated to the plot. It'll be a game changer)

Am I allowed to say I think this one is really fucking good and I can't believe my name is anywhere near it? No? Ok, very fair. Still, not bad. 3 stars.
