I Saw the TV Glow

Some haunting imagery and incredible depictions of repression & escapism. As expected, as someone who identifies as nonbinary, this film absolutely devastated me. I Saw the TV Glow will be held near to my heart until I’m a memory, the filmmaking is off the charts & its messages are so beautifully crafted. One of those films that will impact generations. Often it feels like a nightmare, watching someone living a life where they’re trapped, repressing their true self, hiding who they are,…

The third act reminds you why movies are so special. Why it’s the best medium there is. What a riveting experience. My heart was nearly bursting out of my chest. God I love cinema.

Am I OK?

It’s a sweet film but I didn’t get much enjoyment out of it. A ton of dull performances and a lot of the humor fell flat. Contains a great message though, it’s never too late to come out, or find yourself as a person.
