I have ascended a little too close to the sun on this one I fear. What is life? What are movies? What do I have to look forward to for the rest of the year?

I think it's at least a little "funny bad," but yeesh I could tell immediately this was late 2000's.

The most fun movie i’ve seen in a while, just iconic stuff.

An absolute masterwork in its depiction of culture, which is simultaneously done very broadly and somehow so specifically, a very impressive feat on its own. And beyond that, there is so much originality and authenticity throughout this movie that even now, writing this, I'm still trying to process everything this film is trying to say. Feeling overwhelmed and ecstatic about what this hopefully will mean for movies, and if nothing else, what it means as a standard in genre filmmaking to look up to.

Not to be redundant, but this is about as fun as you can get for a movie this messy. Thank you Tom Cruise!
