The only movie with no cuts, only tears.

Never seen this before, but I thought COVID would affect how I experienced the movie at first and then realized that a pop culture oversaturated in zombie lore was the bigger lens. These characters just don’t know everything we do after having seen zombie movies and TV shows in the decades since this was released. Last act was kind of abysmal.

Aaron Pierre is pure id in this. After venturing out of the rural American backroads, Jeremy Saulnier is back in his element, executing his vision with extreme precision.

There are things I loved about Final Reckoning, but it used to feel like they were getting away with making these movies. This is the first that feels like they were tasked with making another one.
