i've been in the hills mane

a beautiful tapestry with threads interweaving and shining with bright gold. the film blossoms as it goes on, gently bringing you closer to each and every one of its characters. by the final scene you're completely in love, moved to tears even -- but never overwhelmed.
the theatric sets, unorthodox shots and the surreal editing give this flick a unique (and very surprising) dream-like quality. don't get it twisted - this is not a simple exploitation fare: copious amounts of effective symbolist imagery and the returning sisyphean theme add another, even sharper, edge to this beautifully shot film.
