I liked it but I felt like I needed more context, and understanding to the depth of Glinda and Elphaba’s friendship. At the same time, it could have been shorter- I felt my attention shifting away from the screen a couple of times but the ending was redeeming.

The scene of Elphaba and Glinda dancing at the ball when Glinda initially wanted to embarrass her was actually heartbreaking, I lowkey cried. 

Four stars. Maybe I’ll watch the musical next time I go to NYC.

This is a reminder to my future self: pleaseee do not wait to watch a film months after it comes out when you know the most of the plot from edits anyway…

There are reviewers that have deeply encoming responses to this film but I don’t think I’m intelligent to analyze every aspect of this movie.

Nevertheless, it was such an experience to see a film add so much context to a seemingly unimportant situation. There is just SO MUCH…

A fun mockery of billionaires and their greed. I was hooked throughout the movie and shaking with every plot twist. Its fast pace makes it so fun. 

Also, let’s talk about how no one could play Cassandra or Helen the way Janelle Monae could. Her presence is engaging, and makes you sure that there will be some huge development. Captivating. 

This was my introduction to the Knives Out universe and I really liked it. But the original knives out was ten times better imo.
