I avoided this movie for so long but eventually gave in,
agree with the ending cheapening her intent- not on her demise which was inevitable but on the carceral justice gotcha she throws in. It felt so disrespectful.

Visually very intense and the candy aesthetic was gross// but I did love the casting and all the martyrdom imagery. I'm ultimately glad she at least committed to yes, all men.

I wonder if maybe I'd have received this better if the violence against the men had been more overtly gore-y and we hadn't eventually wrapped in poor dead girl, laura palmer style.

Idgaf if something is “propaganda” / all media has a bias / but as somebody who was maybe not the target for this doc (already mostly veg/not needing to be sold on veganism) they could have filled all that ad space and pandering to vegan corps with more of the actual twin study findings that were kind of interesting

Whimsical, pleasant, and hopeful in moments, while managing to show the depth of difficulty of holding a work visa in America. Other moments, I wanted to walk headfirst into traffic (due to the reality of the world that we live in.) Tough and hysterical watch.
