for a movie about a sorceress, it's hard to believe that it lacks the magic and whimsy of moviemaking and musicals. while I don't think it looks as drab in of its color grading as people have complained it does, i think it does have that digital flat look. there are no stunning visuals or effects that excited me. everything looking so obviously fake and at times even ugly does a huge disservice to the emotion that cynthia and ariana bring...
