There's a scene at the rail station where, in just one shot, without any spoken words, Fusako finally decides to give in to prostitution after long hesitation and fighting against. Seeing that scene I was like "Man, that's cinema!!!"

Even the shit films Spielberg made are good shits!

Almost no wide shot and very few profile shots in this film. In About Elly there were only a few wide shots and the sea was in the backdrop on every one of them. Farhadi's frames are crammed up with actors' physicality. His frames don't get empty spaces so often. Nor do his characters.

Liked this one for its poignancy. And Yuwen's voiceover reminds me of Brief Encounter.
