perfect amount of technical artistry and queer rodeo content - i enjoyed it a lot more than i thought. the cinematography felt too clean cut at first but by the end is pure mastery. #more trans people should ride horses #more drag queens should ride cows
there are definitely problems but i choose to ignore them
tears were not only shed for the score, the art direction, and my favourite cinematographer, but tears were shed for those that will never feel this film so deeply inside them and will never internalise that art does not have to just encapsulate healthy, idealised versions of human relationships.
