Owe it to downing an entire bowl of ramen beforehand but it took a sleepy second or two to realize what 'the gap' was and, in fact, the entire throughline of the story... and once I did it all started to work on some small but sweet emotional level. It reads like one of the stories in his collection of Roald Dahl short films and in that light, I had a real good time.

My absolute favorite genre is "movies with train stuff" and this one does. not. disappoint.

Blind watch thanks to my bud who knows my brand is both classic Philippine cinema and also haphazardly throwing on deeply upsetting movies at the exact moment in human history when the phrase 'deeply upsetting' could also be used describe, among other things, having to scrub down mail ordered vegetables to make sure I don't die. Upsetting movie, upsetting times.
