Visually stunning film, loved the sets and costumes, incredible acting, and hilarious, absurdist dialogue, but I’m sorry, it really irked me that a film about ~the female experience~ was written by a man. Badly. Who gave this man the authority to write a story about the female experience? About female sexuality. About how women are sexualised, WHILE STILL SEXUALISING HER. A TODDLER. UGH.
Who was this film made for? I, a woman, did not find this film liberating at all.…
