A new comfort movie.

Damn this is perfect, loved it even more on a rewatch (technically a first watch since first time I watched the directors cut which is surprisingly very different). 

For starters, that soundtrack is beautiful, as you would expect from a film about 70’s rock ‘n’ roll. Joni Mitchell, Zeppelin, Sabbath, Yes. All my favs are here. Cameron Crowe has the greatest taste in music, so cool.

A solid end to a legendary franchise.

So much to love here, if you enjoy the franchise of Mission Impossible you will enjoy this. Pure fan service for the whole first hour, perhaps too much reminiscing of past movies but I’m not complaining at all, always cool to see a franchise bathe in its own light . I can see why people don’t love it, considering the whole first hour is basically the characters saying “I when this happened”…

Truly unbelievable.

Darren Aronofsky captured greatness on Requiem For A Dream. A dark picture on the potential effects of drugs not just in an addiction form, but a financial, relationship and physical form. Every character having a different connection to the dark underbelly of addiction. 4 deeply horrifying stories.

Requiem for a dreams film making is what makes me so obsessed with it for starters. Obviously a tragic tale but the cinematography and visual style is truly something to behold.…
