🪶 this film had me so lost, more so than miyazaki’s other films. i really wasn’t sure what it was trying to say? letting go of your grief maybe? it’s still very beautiful, just like every other studio ghibli film with the tried and true fantasy ghibli formula (a lost soul, a mythical guide and a lonely old lesbian), but i think it definitely requires another watch. a great film to end the year on!

the tennis player to 🚬 pipeline is so real

🎾 this film changed my life. not joking. can’t believe some messy tennis playing bisexuals got to me? also the way most of the problems in this film would’ve been solved if the three had just slept together in that hotel room is hilarious. not sure if it’s because i’m a tennis player or not but it’s a solid film that everyone needs to go see. ps, josh o’connor i am in love you.

she’s an icon

👻 this film is literally the reason why sd was saved, and also the reason why this franchise has become a h u g e part of my life. they need to lean into the real supernatural sh*t more often.
