Shamefully I did enjoy parts of this. The dialogue is just funnier coming from a dog than a baby, I don't know what to tell you.

It's a tense, kinetic, electric movie with two astonishing performances and the music is to die for. The hype is real. WHIPLASH builds a crescendo so mesmerizing, it won't have any trouble keeping your attention. Behind the madness is an intense look at ambition, what it takes to be great, the sacrifices and the ruthless dedication it takes to be something more than "what is expected" of you.
