Feeling like a perverted little sick twisted freak

My favorite thing about watching Yorgos movies is that this man will ALWAYS surprise me

This movie is so disgustingly itself and I love it. It’s absurd and out of line. It rejects any popularity brought on by the current back to back masterpiece run Emma and team are concocting

It’s almost parodying itself in how far it wants to push the audience just in dialogue and tone. Sometimes so purposely unnecessary in being literal and exhausting with detail. The writing is phenomenal 

I LOVE how random it is. I LOVE how the characters move. I LOVE the incredibly poignant emphasis on incredibly random sentences that stick in my mind like molasses. I LOVE that the music fucking hates you, it wants to make you feel like shit for nearly 3 hours AHH I love it

You can sit there trying to find meaning in every weird little thing but it’s almost like they’re trying to make fun of those very people picking it apart till it collapses. There’s so much to chew on here but so much to throw others off and that’s fucking awesome

Each story claws at your skull like some joke your dads trying to tell you except he took cocaine and he’s bleeding out at the same time

This feels like Yorgos at his most confident especially with his writing parter Efthymis. Confident that they can effectively make you focus om the wacky thoughts in their fucked minds. How far can they make you squirm then immediately laugh in discomfort like a trauma response
