Texas Chainsaw Massacre meets Suspira. They did a fair amount of foreshadowing and had a poetic habit of having each character call out their own death in dialogue earlier in the film. Like a fine wine Michael Douglas keeps getting finer with age. And his skin raisins with the best of sun maid or any of California’s vines children. That being said this was an 80s action cop film set in Japan and it ain’t tryin to be anything else. Cool to check out though. The namesake of the film seems a little thin when they spread that one on but I do like it as a nod to American colonization via war and capitalism. Kiss kiss my miss
