Fred Zinnemann’s Oklahoma! is an extremely shallow interpretation of the quintessential American musical. The camera never moves; every scene is flat and shot with zero creativity. Rod Steiger’s Jud Fry lacks emotional depth, and he’s not even the worst actor.
