I don’t really have much to add here. I will say I thought it was gonna be more bafflingly awful based on what I’d heard, but I just thought it was incredibly boring. The dialogue is rough, the story is hardly that, and we have talented actors and actresses doing absolutely nothing.

As someone who quite literally grew up with this show (born the year it premiered), I completely acknowledge that this franchise has lost its way and should have ended long ago as the creator wished. But this actually surprised me.

Insanely well made. Just perfectly shot with beautiful and haunting imagery. Edited in a way that makes every frame and sound feel important. Perfectly acted from stars down to the ing ers. Downey is coming for that Oscar and maybe a couple more acting noms. Definitely tells a compelling story and uses it’s 3 hour runtime well, drags for a moment maybe a time or two, which is astonishing for 3 hours. Nolan delivers once again, and proves just why he’s held in such high regard.
