This was interesting. I’ll need to revisit. But I thought it was cool.

Also, this was very much 1984 meets BioShock.

This felt like it was 5 hours long… and not in a good way. 

Bad acting, horrible script. Zero build. Very easy to figure out. Super generic. Also, I’m sick of paying homage to other films within films.

One of the most beautiful films I’ve ever seen. 

I didn’t know where it was going, but I was glued to the screen the entire time. 

An allegory about the British colonial rule over India. This movie ended in the same way. 

I absolutely loved this film. One of the bests.

We must live in a really f’d up world if this movie exists and people think it’s good.

Alexander Korda is one of the greatest! Every scene was beautiful and had purpose. 

Vivian Leigh isn’t just a Lady - she’s a Queen! What a gorgeous woman. 

This film was brilliant. It has everything you could possibly need: war, romance, drama, history, etc. 

I understand why this is Sir Winston Churchill’s favorite movie!

This reminds me of all my favorite parts of The Godfather: Part II. 

The most beautiful film I’ve ever seen. I need to visit the old country as soon as possible. 

Everyone was handsome, graceful, and pretty. There were many scenes that overwhelmed me with emotion. 

I loved this movie and I can tell this will be a film I’ll revisit yearly.

This Technicolor masterpiece! This was a marvelous film! What a beautiful looking, wonderful story this was! I’ve always been a big fan of Aladdin and this was a great version of Arabian Nights.

This was extremely fun and the audience was awesome! Great viewing experience!

What a beautiful tribute to an amazing man who wanted to make beautiful cars and didn’t compromise! 

Also, the dedication Coppola made to his son because he loved cars made me cry.

I really liked this movie! I wish it was longer, though. I wanted to be in this world even longer. It was a fun film!

Richard Kelly, like Francis Ford Coppola, has a unique gift of predicting the future. 

This movie has everything and more. There is also no other movie like it. 

This movie has aged like a nice, fine wine.

I don’t know what to say other than I loved every second of it. I didn’t want this movie to end. I loved each and every character. This movie is perfect.

Other than Megalopolis, this might be the most ambitious films ever made. 

Buzz-cut Seann William Scott might be the hottest a man has ever looked.

Like every Cronenberg film - it left me wanting more. But in a good way.

I love each and every character in this picture. Jean Renoir is the greatest director that makes you feel good! 

Every moment was special. Everyone was important to the story. However, that end scene might be the greatest of all time. 

I love the FRENCH CANCAN!

“When you’re in love with a married man, you shouldn’t wear mascara.” 

I absolutely enjoyed this movie. What a spectacular performance by Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine.

This was my first Fellini film and I’m so impressed with how he tells stories. 

I was engaged the entire time. I loved all the characters. The men all reminded me of my friends growing up except that we're from Oklahoma. 

Also, this felt very real. This didn’t feel like a movie. But it felt like I was watching a true life story unfold in a movie. 

There was some surreal moments in this film that caught me by surprise and it made me love this move more. 

This makes me want to live in Italy so badly.

“I love this dirty town.” 

This is one of the coolest black and white films I’ve ever seen. 

Sidney Falco, you handsome devil! Also, J.J., those glasses are driving me wild! 

“I’d rather be dead than live with you!” … I was gagged.

I had to rewatch this movie and I have a lot of notes. First of all, thank you, Mr. Altman. This was an amazing experience watching this. I only wish I could see it in theaters. 

This film hits home because I’m a southerner that loves country music, that also grew up catholic. 

I loved all the characters, but there was one that I loved most… Mrs. Barbara Jean. Her story hit me the most. I would’ve been her biggest fan and her most loyal friend. She needed that. All of her performances were excellent. “Tapedeck In His Tracker” is now my favorite performance in a film. Her singing her heart out while in pain makes me cry. That’s how amazing she is.

I will have more to say after watching it another time. But I absolutely loved this movie. That ending literally shook me.

There are a lot of things I want to say about this movie. But the first I want to say is that I enjoyed it. Do I agree with everything? No. But I also understand and believe in not compromising and standing up for what you believe in.

Damn, dude, can’t you just take a Percocet?

I loved the music. But the film ain’t anything original. There was some elements I did enjoy. However, the use of AI is a no-no for me.

I want to be friends with all the women in this movie. Especially the one who pretends to faint and then stands back up to bow down. 

This was a wonderful movie! I felt like I was smiling the entire time. Jean Renoir is one of the greats!!! 

A special acknowledgement to Anna Magnani for learning English just for this film. She was wonderful. 

Again, Renoir just knows how to make you feel good. I love him and his films.

The tall grass. The music playing. The mood it exuded. The black n white. How mysterious it was. That mask and how it moved. 

This.. was… freaky.

This woman really had these dudes in the palm in her hands. Good for her! 🥃

If there is are two things about Jean Renoir is that he will have an amazing cast of characters and he will make you feel good with his storytelling.

I can’t tell you why - but this is one of the greatest films I’ve ever seen. 

I loved every single second of it. I loved all the characters. I loved the story. I loved that small little town. 

It was heartbreaking. But it was beautiful.

This has been probably the best Marlene Dietrich and Josef von Sternberg I’ve seen so far besides Shanghai Express. 

I had such a great experience watching this film. I loved the entire story. I loved how it all tied back together in the end. 

What a ionate story about love and what you would do for your lover. But how people can be blinded at does the means justify the end. 

I had a great time watching this and look forward to a rewatch eventually. This film I would strongly recommend!

“Fuck you!” **punches Freddy Kruger

I truly enjoyed this. It makes me want to pick up my stuff and move to the UK or Europe. I love the town it was filmed in. 

There was so much intrigue. Lots of avenues we got a glimpse into. I loved the mood and the feeling throughout the film. Knowing this is what Coppola got his inspiration for making The Conversation makes me love this even more. 

The slow reveal in the pictures and the build in anticipation and the unknown… all too much to take on.

I enjoyed this film. Not as much as Dietrich and von Sternberg’s other films, but this had a lot of great moments. 

Lee Garmes is a genius at cinematography. 

The black cat was the star of the show… besides Dietrich of course.

This was a wonderful film. I loved every minute of it.

This had a lot of similarities to The Blue Angel and Shanghai Express. But this was a unique film that stood on its own that I enjoyed watching! 

Marlene Dietrich is something so special. She is the definition of beauty and glamour. Also, I didn’t realize how cute Gary Cooper is. Dude is a hunk!

This was one of the most beautiful looking films I’ve ever seen.

I enjoyed this film. There is something about a movie on a train.

I do get overwhelmed when I watch this film. I’m not sure why. It could be the music. It could be the acting. The amazing landscape. The dreamlike quality. 

I think about this film all the time. I want to be in this film and live in it. Again, imo, this is the greatest sci-fi film of all time. Nothing can touch it.

I really enjoyed this film. This is my second David Lean film and I am already a fan. 

This film truly had everything you could want. Romance. Adventure. Drama. Plus, to top it all off, wonderful acting and visuals throughout. 

I ire this movie and it had a great ending.

This is way better on the second viewing.

Invitation to Love 💕 

These two beautiful people should be together. It only makes sense. 

Few things to highlight, the music, the slow and fast shots. The character development. The splicing and dicing of the scenes. The colors used and expressed throughout. 

This was like Lost in Translation & Brief Encounter. I loved it.

There is something about trains. They’re an indicator of time. Going or coming from a certain place. 

This love story was hard to see. You can’t help but to root for them, even though it was wrong. 

This was a great film. This was one of the prettiest black & white films I’ve seen. The camera work was so creative and helped tell the story so well. 

Also, don’t stand too close to an oncoming train. You’ll get grit in your eye and fall in love with a doctor.

This movie was magic. Pure magic. 

I loved every minute of this film. I wanted to live in this dream like world. 

I wonder if my mother would’ve shown me this film instead of The Outsiders, if that would’ve had some impact on myself. If I would’ve ended up differently. 

Also, Rusty-James's brother being colorblind and that’s the reason why the film is in black & white. Because he’s living in his brother’s world. Wow. 

I loved it.

This was an excellent film! Seriously, Alfred Hitchcock is one of the greatest storytellers ever.
