mary mason automatically comes to mind when i’m asked who my favourite horror movie protagonist is. a traumatised med student who is (rightfully) seeking revenge on her professor and then along the way she finds an unusual ion for body modification. what i like about this film is that it perfectly encapsulates what it’s like to be feared by everyone around you because you have nothing left to lose. i love complex female characters <3

i want to inject this film into my veins. i love the manga so much and it was so wonderful getting to see it come to life with beautiful scenery, cinematography, and sounds and imagery being played with to further the bizarre experience. i love this story. i love the way it’s told. helter skelter, you are now easily one of my fav movies. ♡︎
