The perfect and rewarding swan song for fans of the franchise, including multiple solid action set pieces. 

Unfortunately, this movie likely means we won’t be getting a Metal Gear Solid film though imo.

Very well put together, the framing is perfect and timely amid the true crime phase in pop culture. Ultimately I liked the concept more than the execution, but it’s still really good.

Exactly what I needed it to be, and the tension scenes were well laid out with easily the most gore in the franchise so far. Bobby is one of my favorite FD characters as well, and I really appreciate the use of time and flashbacks to contextualize the events. Lots of fun.

Definitely not for everyone, and I have a lot of conflicting thoughts on the flick overall. Lots of segments I liked, some I loved, yet still drags and feels extremely long despite running only 70 minutes… I get that there’s a ‘high’ feeling to the whole thing which can also lead to a drag, but some more story beats would likely have benefited it.
