lays it on so fucking thick

the thing about this movie and tim robinson's whole schtick is that i have to accept in some capacity that my own audhd cluster b ass is being mined for comedy so i can't help but feel a little bit mean or guilty for being in on the joke
i was also laughing quite a bit, so maybe i'm a little cruel towards myself too. he does make me laugh but knowing that you are that type of person to some people makes me wonder how much the average viewer has to contend with stuff like "oh this movie is about me"
Lars Von Trier's view of human nature has never been more pathetic or disingenuous or tedious as it is here, and arguably more frustrating is that Dancer in the Dark had undeniable potential to be something deeply sympathetic and human.
