Ever since I was a kid, this has been my second-favourite in the series after Jason Lives. So fun and so sleazy.

It's a real shame the MPAA was far more savage to this film than Jason was to any of his victims. Not much gore, but the sleaze is real.

It was delightful watching this at the Revue with Spanish subtitles. Some of the translations were quite interesting.

I saw this in the theatre with my dad when it came out. I was 11. This was a charming movie then and it still is now.

I'm not convinced everyone in the theatre who laughed at the Sam Cooke joke got the joke, but it was a good time. Glad to see this again.

Utterly charming romp from Full Moon's heyday co-directed by Charlie Band and his dad. A sublime runtime, great special effects (including stop-motion dinosaur skeletons) and lots of Jeffrey Combs in pleated pants. Gets better with every viewing.

"Ooby dooby, motherfucker."

I enjoyed the first 10 minutes. I found the rest of the film incredibly dull. The love story made me want to puke. A real case study in how to make a boring film even worse.

Surely the filmmakers knew "Ooby Dooby" is not a CCR song. This movie has as much respect for Roy Orbison (and CCR) as it does for its audience.

1.5 stars for the first 10 minutes and for having the Donnas play over the title credits (even though it's not a Donnas song). I miss the Donnas.

If Eddie Clarke could do it over again, do you think he still would have left Motörhead to start Fastway?

We'll never know. But I give this movie props for playing Whodini at the high school dance.

Unhinged remains the only Russell Crowe film I've seen. And boy, is Crowe ever unhinged in this movie, from the first frame to the last.

"Greg, are you seriously telling me Unhinged is the ONLY Russell Crowe film you've seen? Really?!?!"

Really. I looked through his entire filmography before writing this review. I've seen Unhinged (twice!) and that's it. I'd be willing to watch The Pope's Exorcist, though.

Also, Caren Pistorious is exquisitely beautiful. My goodness!

That scene where James Woods is watching The Dead Zone and says "Who writes this crap?" ADORABLE.

Honestly, this movie is pretty good. The first two segments are money. The third is quite childish, but it looks amazing so I'll give it a . Today, the third segment would have been CGI'd to death. Amazing they pulled it off in the '80s and had it look soooooo good.

I was watching the end credits thinking "You know, the heyday of horror anthologies really came and went with the UK's Amicus films from the 1970s." Just as I thought that, the movie hit me with a *giant* "Co-produced by Milton Subotsky" credit at the very end (IYKYK). The man knew his strengths.

I wasn't expecting to find this film so relatable, but here we are. My life flashed before my eyes when I was watching Lynda drive to her son's graduation ceremony.

Sorry, pals. I know a lot of you loved this, but I found it dull and inexcusably long. I tried my best. This does not work for me at all.

I've heard a couple people say this is more of a drama than a horror film.

Are they being serious? If this isn't a horror film, I don't know what is. Claiming this is a drama is something you would do if you enjoyed the movie but think horror is beneath you.

I didn't love this, but I thought it was pretty solid. I should watch Talk to Me.

Adam Thorn has done it again. If you care about independent cinema, you need to see Lil' Bastard. I loved every minute of it, and damn, what a climax!

This goes very hard for a movie from 1964. I ire the film's gumption.

Takes a few liberties with the source material, but it's an entertaining watch. All movies should be 60 minutes long.

I've sung along to "Tell Her No" hundreds of times. It wasn't until I saw this documentary that I realized some of the lyrics are unintelligible. I guess I was just making the words up!

Great film. Colin Blundstone is utterly charming and his voice sounds as good as ever. Rod Argent is wondeful too.

This isn't an amazing film but it ain't half bad. I love how dark it is compared to its predecessor; The Dream Child is kind of like the DS9 of the franchise. The gothic imagery is a nice touch.

Freddy's goofy one-liners often spoil the bleak tone of this film. Ironic that Freddy would get in the way of his own movie, but he does. The Kool Moe Dee tune that plays over the end credits fits the vibe even less, but I love the song. An LL Cool J diss track in a Freddy movie? Sure, why not.

This movie introduced me to Whodini, for which I'll always be grateful. The VHS tape of NOES5 had the music video for "Any Way I Gotta Swing It" if you hung around past the end credits. Alas, the music video didn't make it onto subsequent releases of the film.

Shout-out to Kelly Jo Minter, who is in this movie as well as The People Under the Stairs and Popcorn. All worth watching and she's great in each!

Quebec: Home of great poutine and some pretty good movies too.

I really enjoyed this film and was laughing throughout. But I have two key criticisms.

1. I wanted to see more of the women rockers. I didn't even know what their bands were called. I'm sure these ladies had jobs and would have made the men look even stupider if we'd spent more time with them.

2. Lemmy, Alice Cooper and Megadeth didn't belong in this film. They were doing something quite different than all the goofy hair metal bands. KISS did belong in this movie and I love that they treated the experience as a joke.

Wow, this was dull.

One star for lots and lots of Nat King Cole singing in Spanish and for that song with the 3/4 time signature playing again and again and again.

I always enjoy revisiting this one. Don Dohler was an inspiration and seemed like such a decent, humble man.

Proud to own this badboy on DVD and give it a spin every few years.

This is a feature-length music video with a killer soundtrack, some nice Dutch angles, beautiful red and green lighting and fun kills.

The Dream Master was my favourite entry in the series when I was a kid. I watched the hell out of it. It doesn't hit the same now that I'm in my 40s, but I love what this movie used to mean to me. There are some fun childhood memories right here.

Highly unusual for me to like a movie that's more than 90 minutes long, but here we are. This lived up to the hype.

It ain't Kingdom of the Spiders, but it ain't half bad. John "Bud" Cardos knew how to make entertaining pictures. Wings Ha gives the performance of a lifetime in this toxic-waste-zombies film that should have been shorter.

Filmed more than a decade ago (originally under the title CobgraGator, which makes more sense than this title), DinoGator was only released this year. It's no worse than Wynorski's other CGI creature features; I have no idea why this was held up so long.

It's no Sharkansas Women's Prison Massacre, but it's a movie.

Easily the best film I've seen this year. Exposing corruption and fighting for democracy comes at a steep price.

This film has some impressive visuals. Doug Jones was channelling Rick Nielsen from Cheap Trick.

The first three Amityville films suck. Save yourself some time and skip straight to the fourth movie.

I howled with laughter from beginning to end. I laughed so hard it hurt. I laughed so hard I cried. Aron Eisenberg (yes, Nog from DS9) has one of the strangest haircuts I've ever seen in this movie. The film's freeze-frame ending rivals that of Days of Thunder.

This movie is an absolute delight.

Ozzie was my favourite part of the first Leprechaun film. He's also my favourite part of this one. I was surprised to see a returning character in a Leprechaun movie*, but this worked for me.

It's hard to imagine world leaders uniting like this if aliens attacked us today. We'd be doomed.

This was made before Canada had the maple leaf flag, so the Canadian delegate has a Union Jack flag. And he gets lots of dialogue; the British representative gets none.

"What if we had a guy riding a motorcycle inside a movie theatre stabbing demons with his sword?"

"What if a helicopter fell through the ceiling for absolutely no reason?"

"What if we added bazookas and a grappling hook and turned the preppy kid into Rambo at the end?"

This movie plays like it was written by an eight-year-old boy. It really shines in the second half.

Just when you think you've seen every recognizable actor on the planet appear in this movie, Nana Visitor shows up in the last 30 seconds looking exactly like Kira Nerys.

I'd read the book, so I knew what I was in for, but this just gutted me.

Jack Kethcum's work is so real. It's so easy to imagine something like this happening. This is a beautiful, sad movie that moved me.

I haven't seen any of the John Wick films, but Red must have inspired those movies, based on my understanding of them. Can anyone confirm this?

I slept through much of this. I woke up feeling refreshed and confused.

I don't find this movie as sleazy as everyone makes it out to be, but it is nonetheless sleazy good fun with some great performances.

I would like to draw your attention to the runtime. This is the perfect runtime. No film needs to be longer than 90 minutes. Shorter than 90 minutes is even better.

This starts with a flimsy premise and gets stupider and stupider as it goes. The film has aged poorly. It's moronic. So moronic that it's quite entertaining.

I'm not entirely convinced there are ladies in swimsuits sunbathing on ferries in Connecticut on April 1, but who am I to say no to ladies in swimsuits?

I found this movie surprisingly good. Great ending with a nice Three Dog Night needle drop; a few laughs along the way. I was expecting worse.

This was my third time watching this film, which I have always known as X-Ray (not Hospital Massacre). Cannon brings the same approach to a horror movie it brings to an action movie: this starts in high gear and never lets up. The movie is bonkers right off the bat.

It gets a little tired by the third act, which is redeemed by a strong, abrupt ending that doesn't make a lot of sense. Props to this film for actually feeling like a genuine nightmare. It seems like the heroine could have easily escaped the hospital at any time, but she doesn't. Just like you can't escape some nightmares.

I'm not sure what I watched, but it was surprisingly compelling. I particularly enjoyed Japanese Scott Bakula.

I was pleasantly surprised by how erotic and explicit this film is. Everything about this works for me.

Diane Ladd gives a performance for the ages in this veritable smorgasbord of dino mayhem.

Fuck Jurassic Park and the horse it rode in on. Fuck Steven Spielberg and his treacly, bloated movies. This is the dinosaur film you need in your life!

I've said it before and I'll say it again: If it takes longer than a minute, you're doing it wrong. This movie is brilliant.

I was brutally exhausted when I watched this and slept through half of it. But what I saw was great.

Funny, stylish and lots of babes. Would love to see the entire film someday.

I'm grateful to this film for introducing me to the band Night Powers. I can't stop listening to their song "Let's Be Thieves." It's not in this movie, but I wouldn't have discovered it without watching They Call Her Death.

As for the film itself? It has one of the best title credit sequences I've seen in a long time. There are some fun kills, a few laughs and some nice-looking shots. The whole isn't greater than the sum of its parts, but I had fun with this.

I have now seen three Francis Ford Coppola movies. This is by far (by *faaaaar*) the best one, and I didn't even enjoy it. This man's films are far too bloated, indulgent and in love with themselves for my taste.

I'm fine to get off the Coppola train after three stops. The Conversation had some decent moments, but it's a 20-minute idea in a two-hour bag.

For a movie that tosses around the phrase "mondo bondo" like rice at a wedding, there isn't a lot of bondage here. But there were lots of fun twists and turns and I, for one, was a fan of discount Peyton Manning.

I'll never watch this again and I'll soon forget that I ever saw it. But this was a decent night out.

I was expecting something very sleazy. Instead, I got a historical melodrama with good performances, nice photography, some wit and humour.

This isn't anything to write home about, but I was surprised by the film's quality.

This movie had a troubled production history and it feels exactly like what it is: a film directed by two different people, separately. In Jamaica!

It tries to balance innocence, humour and horror, often failing at all three. But that's part of its charm. I come back to Popcorn every few years and always get something out of it.

Mainstream horror really lost me with Scream. But I'm fond of early '90s horror movies like this one. And I'm not sure you'd have Scream without Popcorn. It's deffo better than Scream.

The first 15 minutes of this movie are surprisingly good. The rest is not.
