This movie address a very universal issue that is the socialization of men. Often times it's portrayal was so poignant that it made for personally a very uncomfortable watch. Perhaps it was all too real for me. I found Tim's character to be darker and more despicable than a lot of his ITYSL sketch protagonists, given his unethical job, his narcissistic tendencies and his imminent downward spiral. This could just be due to the fact that this format provides us with more depth but either way, I found myself not connecting as much with Craig.
As well as being a timestamp of unique 1970s America, at a crossroads of consumerism and character, this film was a giddy-ing display of raw social interactions that had me relievedly laughing from the first moments. I loved Willie's art which was scattered throughout the film, used both symbolically and aesthetically.
