New Bev 35mm 15th Anniversary Screening

Some thoughts on Inception now 15 years on...a film that somehow feels like it's been with me my entire life, and yet feels like it was only yesterday where I experienced it for the first time. I've spent so much time mulling over the emotional impact this work has had on me over the years and is directly responsible for helping me navigate and strengthen my emotional intelligence as an adolescent. It's taught me…

You'll hunt me. You'll condemn me. Set the dogs on me. Because that's what needs to happen. Because sometimes the truth isn't good enough. Sometimes people deserve more. Sometimes people deserve to have their faith rewarded.

If Batman Begins is Bruce learning to do what is necessary in order to inspire Gotham, The Dark Knight is Bruce directly grappling with the consequences and sacrifice of being Batman. Bruce almost has to reject his humanity in order to do the right thing in…

F1 is THE cinematic event of the summer! The holy trinity of Kosinski, Miranda, & Zimmer are firing on all cylinders to create one of the most visceral, exhilarating, jaw-dropping spectacles I've ever experienced. Pitt is captivating in this remarkably self reflective journey through his tumultuous time in the spotlight that doubles as a poignant exploration of ion, ego, celebrity, regret, and media narratives. The intensity & drama reaches such operatic heights and the races are the most immersive put to screen. F1 DEMANDS the IMAX experience. What a rush, what a picture!!!

The White Lotus (2009)

The Vantage Point of vacation thrillers which may be the most 2009 sentence ever written. A ton of fun with an unhinged third act. Wild how much better this film looks compared to your standard 2020s blockbuster.

Spider-Man: No Way Home

Spider-Man No Way Home is the tale of 2 halves. First is everything I feared, cheap, gratuitous, nostalgia mixed w/ randomness and nonsense. Second is the quintessential Spider-Man story I’ve WANTED from Holland. Packs an emotional wallop & some of the best Spidey moments ever. Messy but satisfying.
