Stop me if you've heard this one: A Viking queen, a ninja and a WWII fighter pilot walk into an alien gladiatorial arena...
So yeah, this is pretty much pure Rule of Cool, but in rather a fun way - which, given that the writer/director started out doing something called "The Totally Rad Show" isn't too surprising. Ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, too, so here's hoping there's a sequel.
