I do wish we could have the story exist without the cricket game framing (I wasn’t crazy about the ending), but the central performances, the movement and the sound design are really something. The actual shout was astonishing. Totally knocked the wind out of me. Was reminded of ‘The glitter and colour that comes from the mouth’ with Alan Bates’ silver fillings. Thick fucking neck.
