Not a bad watch by any means, just a perplexing one.
 
Anora is a character that I wanted to get so much more than was allotted. Mikey Madison is so good, but it just felt like the movie was almost afraid to allow her some introspection until quite literally the last shot. One could read this choice as purposefully disarming, but it read as underdeveloped, which is a shame because Madison really gives it her all in a really engaging way.
