I’ve been watching Micheal Haneke’s films recently, and The Piano Teacher stood out to me. It was so disgusting, so disturbing, but something about it felt intentional. It was beautiful, it interpreted so many emotions at once leaving the audience brutally scarred from the final scene. The acting, specifically from Isabelle Huppert, made you feel like you shouldn’t be watching what you were watching. It felt like real people having real conversations. It was never a film experience, it was…

Yorgos has a weird, complex, and astonishing taste in film and personality. “The Lobster” has a deeper meaning that most might not see in a first glance. An actual original, unique horror film in the year of 2025? I’m honesty quite shook.

This was so well crafted and beautiful. This film proved that not all art new projects need the symbolism shoved right into your face. It’s a slow, menacing interpretation of what it was like to be black in the 1930s.

Without looking at the plot line, you’d probably think this had something to with racism or discrimination back in the day. But no. Boom. There’s motherfucking vampires.

It’s unapologetic, brutal, and hard to predict.
