Haunting and beautiful at the same time.
I didn't think the POV style filming could work throughout the whole movie but now I can't imagine this film done any other way. It makes you focus on every detail shown on the screen, and you're afraid to look away in case you miss something. And the way it is used for narrative purposes really hits you after you finish watching the whole thing.
Top tier all around.
A movie that's best watched while knowing nothing about it at all. If you haven't seen any trailers, keep it that way; then you will be able to enjoy the layers of plot slowly peeling away to recontextualise the scenes and the characters over and over again, which is the experience that should have been intended all along. It's also super funny all throughout.
Some of the characters could have done with somewhat more development, and considering the short runtime, there was space for that. Nevertheless, it was a hell of a ride, and I'm glad I knew almost nothing about it before going in.
