Saw this at the Silver Spring AFI theater with Radiohead playing over it. It initially sounded like a really strange choice to me but the music actually worked surprisingly well with it!
I think this is about as good as a horror movie from 1922 can get. The visuals were actually really cool and Count Orlok was very unsettling. That shot of Orlok's shadow as he creeps up the stairs is incredible.

The direction from John Carpenter is really fantastic and the film did an excellent job of building suspense as well as creating a constant sense of imminent danger and eeriness.
