I really don’t know how to feel. Rewatch necessary.

I sobbed at the end of this.
The first time I watched this when it came out in theaters, I was already a huge Jane Schoenbrun fan.
We’re All Going To The Worlds Fair genuinely rocked my world and scared the shit out of me, so I was particularly excited to see what she had in store working with A24.
The first time I watched this film, I didn’t fully understand the subtext of it, but loved it regardless.…
What a beautiful, touching, emotional short. The performances, cinematography, and directing were all top notch. It’s very clear how personal this story is, and it only adds to the raw authenticity that rips at the viewer’s soul. The characters are immediately empathetic, and this film, akin to LULU Wang’s “The Farewell” depicts a grandmother/granddaughter relationship in a heartwarming, tragic way.
I cannot wait to see what Parida Tanti does next.
