Such a genuine joy to see this on the big screen - Hitchcock gets the magic balance between a characterful funny script and such tight tense filmmaking. Still love how much we spend with our characters before we start to fall down the rabbit hole. Probably didn’t appreciate how gorgeous this film is, the technicolour makes every scene pop, it ends up feeling as intoxicating to comb through every detail as it is for Jimmy Stewart, Grace Kelly and Thelma Ritter.

I think I was always going to love this - the trio of performances are stunning. It took me a little while to settle into the rhythm of the dialogue, it feels quite theatrical in some ways, which I ended up really enjoying because it made those characters and that world feel more distinctive. Thank God for independent cinema.
