I had just made a top 50 favorite films of all time list, just a week or two before seeing this. And I'm gonna see this in theaters 1 or 2 more times probably, before I decide, but it may very well make it onto that list.

The movie may not be perfect, but it's pretty damn close. And it's a theatrical experience I will NEVER forgot. Acting, cinematography, score, drama, suspense, comedy, romance, ALL come together in top form…

I love finding gems like these. Came here after seeing the trailer for A Big Bold Beautiful Journey this morning, interested to see what else director Kogonada had done. I thought After Yang was good, but not my favorite. Columbus on the other hand, is the type of movie you don't want to end, because you just want to spend more time with the characters. Slow, contemplative, and purposeful. All the shots are beautiful, including the architecture, which is a big theme of the movie. Falls into that "gentle cinema" genre that I've really grown to love.

The comparisons to Lady Bird make sense, but this came out 15 years earlier. Both great movie though, that tackle the same issues, but from different cultural perspectives, and that distinction matters. America Ferrera is fantastic here, and I feel like Greta Gerwig giving her that monologue in Barbie is more meaningful now. Full circle.

Wes Anderson fans rejoice, he's dropped another one. If you're a fan, you'll like this is, if you're not, it won't convert you. Michael Cera was literally born for his movies, hope to see more of that collab going forward.

This was a hell of a lot of fun. Not the best in the series, but leaves us with a fitting end to one of the best action franchises we'll likely ever see. And that is in huge part due to Tom Cruise's willingness to put his body and life on the line to entertain us, time and time again. The story feels disted at times, and there are some wtf moments that stood out that I didn't really love.…
