This is probably as close to a film version of Like A Velvet Glove Cast In Iron that we’ll ever get.
Have read a few reviews calling this a less than successful satire of the modern-American-comic-book-reading-pop-culture-obsessed-slacker-man-child, which is fair to say, but I think there is more going on in here than that.
