1/31/22 Wears out its welcome long before the end. The characters all seem sketchy, the plot more than cumbersome. If there are any ideas here, I didn't find them.

1/31/22 An informative behind-the-scenes glimpse of Putin's first year in power, and how his videographer now feels about it--as well as how Boris Yeltsin and his family felt about it back then. I learned a lot about today's Russia from this, and as well as much about Putin.

Only Kubrick and Spielberg, working together on different time planes, could create such a philosophical and intellectual heartbreaker.

This has improved with age.
