kiarostami is kinda mean when he's at work 😭 but i think i've seen this in other bts docs so i'm not really surprised. tbh i'm the same way lol. but it's all in the name of creating art and realizing his vision. some really great footage of him doing his thing here, which i will always love

always a sucker for a good mystery-noir like this. compelling story (wish the motive was explored a lot more though), fun thrills, and some excellent cinematography. that one visiting room shot 😩

i don't think i have any other new thoughts to add to this film(s) (it's actually meant to be a single 10-hour film) other than it is a towering work of art. during the post-screening q&a wang said something along the lines of "these are ordinary people who may not have anything special about them, and i want their lives recorded to a film" and that's probably going to stick with me for eternity
